Clinical Efficacy of Famotidine(Gaster^(®)) on Peptic Ulcer Disease

Abstract
|
|
|
The clinical efficacy and safety of famotidine were evaluated in 38 patients with peptic ulcer disease
The results were as follows:
1) Daily dose was 40mg for 8 weeks.
2) Endoscopic. examination after the treatment with famotidine alone proved excellent efficacy: 91.3% out of 23 gastric ulcer patients and 93.3% of 15 duodenal ulcer patients were cured.
3) There were no significant side effects except one case of mild constipation.
